Vitiligo

History

         A 25-year-old male presented with depigmented patches with some repigmentation induced by treatment with topical psoralen solution associated with white hair in the involved area (lower half of the face) of 5 months duration.

Vitiligo of the lip

History

         Vitiligo may affect the vermilion zone of the lips as in the presented case of 17-year-old male patient who had linear depigmentation involved the entire length of the upper lip of one year duration. Other body areas were not involved. Vitiligo of the lips rarely responds to any therapeutic agent or procedure as the lips are devoid of hair follicles from where repigmentation usually starts.

Vitiligo

History

           A 23-year-old male  suffered large patches of depigmentation affecting the neck, upper back and the chest of three years duration. The whitish patches are sharply demarcated with some residual brownish areas within.

Schamberg’s disease

History

          A 45-year-old woman presented with a symptomatic bilateral symmetrical red-brwonish purpuric rash involved both feet and lower legs of one year duration. She had no associated cutaneous lesions or systemic diseases.

Becker nevus

History

          A 25-year-old male presented with unilateral hyperpigmentation. Most of the right side of the chest was mottled with brownish hyperpigmentation associated with mild hypertrichosis. The defect has been noticed since age of 10 years.
