A 7-year-old boy presented with generalized polymorphous rash involving the trunk, proximal parts pf extremities and the oral mucosa (soft palate) of three days duration. Usually after 3 days most lesions in chicken pox will be covered with hemorrhagic crustation as evident in this patient.

Tinea cruris
A 28-year-old male presented with a severely-pruritic, minimally-scaly red plaques involved both crural areas symmetrically of 6 months duration. The patient gave history of applying many potent and super-potent topical corticosteroids with transient partial improvements soon followed by rash extension and increased itchiness and redness. He has been treated with oral griseofulvin with combined topical Clotrimazole and Hydrocortisone 2.5% in cream base for 4 weeks with excellent outcome.
Cutaneous leishmaniasis
A 32-year-old woman presented with an asymptomatic, large, red, oval, indurated ulcerative plaque with punched-out border on the extensor surface of the forearm of 4 months duration. Intralesional injections of sodium stibogluconate given at 2 weeks intervals resulted in cure with some residual atrophic scar after 8 sessions.
Tinea barbae
A slightly itchy red scaly rash involved the beard area with minimal hair loss of 6 months duration. The scales took a polycyclic configuration. KOH examination of the hair and scales were positive for fungi. Very good result on oral griseofulvin was obtained.
Tinea cruris
A 32-year-old male presented with a well-demarcated, red, scaly rash involved both crural areas symmetrically associated with mild itching of 3 months duration. KOH wet mount preparation of lesional scales yielded fungal hyphae and scores. Complete cure was obtained on treatment with oral griseofuvin plus topical clotrimazoler for 4 weeks.
Molluscum cotagiosum
An 8-year-old girl presented with three asymptomatic pearly-colored slightly irritated papules with characteristic central umbilication involved the nose, upper lip and infraorbital region of one month duration. All lesions have been easily and successfully curated.
Impetigo contagiosum
A 5-year-old girl presented with mildly itchy red crusted patches near one axilla of 7 days duration. Cure was obtained on one week course oral Cephalexin and twice daily topical Fusidic acid ointment.
