B-cell lymphoma

History

           An 82-year-old man presented with multiple, asymptomatic, indurative and infiltrative erythematous nodules and plaques involved mainly the face and also the trunk of one year duration. Biopsy revealed B-cell lymphomatous infiltrate. Mediastinal and cervical lymph nodes were involved in addition to hepatosplenomegally.

Calcinosis cutis

History

            A 19-year-old female presented with many firm to hard white to skin-colored asymptomatic papules involving the fingertips and elbow extensors. Skin biopsy was typical of calcinosis cutis and on investigations she had elevated levels of calcium and parathyroid hormone.

Bullous pemphigoid

History

          A 65-year-old old woman presented with widespread tense bullae on erythematous backgrounds involved mainly the lower limbs of three months duration. There was no mucosal involvement and skin biopsy showed subepidermal bullae filled with eosinophils and neutrophils.

Acanthosis negricans

History

          A 28-year-old slightly overweight man presented with mildly hyperpigmented, velvety-like thickening of the skin with many skin tags of both axillae. He had no history of diabetes mellitus or family history of similar condition.

Angioedema

History

         A 63-year-old lady presented with sudden severe swelling of both periorbital regions and lips associated with purpuric lesions on both lower limbs of 3 days duration.            A 4-year-old girl presented with cerebellar ataxia and conjunctival and labial telangiectasia of more than two years duration.

Reticulate acropigmentation of Dohi

History

           A 10-year-old girl presented with bilateral symmetrical acral hyperpigmentation and depigmentation in a reticulate pattern started since infancy. She had no similar family history.

Benign cephalic histiocytosis

History

           A 14-month-old male infant presented with asymptomatic, red-yellowish, few millimeters in diameter infiltrative papules involved the cheeks of 6 months duration. The mucosae and viscera were not involved. Skin biopsy showed dermal infiltration with non-lipidized histiocytes.
